The mission

The old playbook — hiring large in-house engineering benches for every roadmap — is breaking under cost and cycle pressure. At DontHireDevs we ship with AI, automation, and lean architecture so work that used to take months lands in days when the scope is right.

We are not pitching staff aug with a fresh coat of paint. We are pitching a different way to buy engineering capacity. We need a Senior Business Development Manager who can walk into a room of executives and show why a seven-figure in-house roadmap may be the wrong default for 2026.

The role

This is not smile-and-dial volume. You are a strategic partner to founders and CTOs: find teams choked by technical debt or stuck in hiring loops, and show them a faster way to ship with dedicated offshore engineers and transparent pricing.

  • Own the full cycle: from high-value target selection through closed six-figure partnerships.
  • Challenge the default: you can tell a prospect their current build model is wasteful — and back it with numbers, not bluster.
  • Build the playbook: we run lean. You help refine outbound, pricing narratives, and pitch material as we learn what resonates.
  • Translate tech to ROI: you do not need to write production code. You do need to explain how lean, AI-accelerated delivery cuts overhead and calendar time in terms a CFO respects.

Who you are

The technically curious closer

Five or more years in B2B sales across SaaS, agency, or consulting. You understand the SDLC well enough to see where it usually breaks — handoffs, scope creep, bench cost.

A natural provocateur

You are comfortable with challenger-style selling: tension, proof, and respect. You can hold your own when the room asks hard questions about AI, delivery risk, and how you define completion for delivery.

Self-sufficient

We do not micromanage. You own pipeline hygiene, follow-ups, and CRM discipline so the rest of the team trusts the forecast.

Witty and persuasive

Your emails get answered because they are specific and human — not because you sent template seven of nine.
